INITIATED THE PROCESS FOR DEMOLITION. NEW AT SIX, ONE PERSON IS DEAD AFTER A BARN FIRE IN WARREN COUNTY. IT HAPPENED ON A PROPERTY ON GENEVA STREET IN THE SPRING HILL AREA TUESDAY. THAT’S JUST OFF HIGHWAY 65. FIRE OFFICIALS TELL US AN 81 YEAR OLD MAN WAS PULLED FROM THE BARN AND AIRLIFTED TO THE HOSPITAL. WE JUST LEARNED HE DIED FROM HIS INJURIES. A SECOND VICTIM WAS ALSO TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL THERE. THEY ARE EXPECTED TO SURVIVE.

An 81-year-old man was killed in a barn fire in Warren County on Tuesday.The Northern Warren Fire Department says it was dispatched to a barn fire on Geneva Street in the Spring Hill area around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday. While crews were en route, they learned the building was fully engulfed in flames and there was at least one severe burn victim.When crews arrived, they found heavy smoke and fire coming from the barn and that bystanders had pulled an 81-year-old man from the building.With mutual aid from the Indianola Fire Department, the fire was quickly brought under control.The man pulled from the building was transported by air ambulance to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
