The National Weather Service says the risk of flooding is low this year. New tonight- Ankeny is now the fifth largest city in the state. A special census was held in 20-24 - and the U.S. Census Bureau says the city's population is now 76-thousand-207. That's up more than 8-thousand since the 20-20 census. The interim city manager says Ankeny will get more than a million dollars in additional áRoad Use Tax Fundsá each year because of the population increase. This helps the city pay for street maintenance... snow removal... and infrastructure improvements. Two other Central Iowa cities were ásupposed to hold a special census.
