Beehive — on a stick? — at the Iowa State Fair
While many Iowans are anxiously counting down the days until the 2025 Iowa State Fair and dreaming of all the deep-fried delicacies on a stick at the food stands, a colony of honey bees took it a step further this week.
A bee swarm was found in a large tree near the cattle barn at the Iowa State Fairgrounds.
The Fair says one of their workers was brave enough to move it. The queen and her colony were caught and relocated.
Bees play a pivotal role in pollinating crops and other plants. The Fair says they are happy to give them a hand when they get lost.
