Biggest snubs from the 2025 Emmy nominations
Nominations for the 77th Emmy Awards were announced on Tuesday, with "Severance" and "The Studio" leading the nominations.
Despite several outstanding performances being recognized out of the numerous television shows that aired during the eligibility period, many performances were snubbed from the 2025 Emmys.
Here is a list of performances that were snubbed:
Dichen Lachman for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama for "Severance"
Despite being a central plot point for the second season of "Severance" and being in one of the highest-rated episodes, Dichen Lachman did not receive a nomination for her role.
Christopher Walken for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama for "Severance"
Christopher Walken was not nominated for his role in "Severance" despite all of his co-stars being nominated for their roles in the Best Supporting Actor category. Walken shared most of his scenes with John Turturro, who received a nomination, but Walken was snubbed.
Patrick Ball for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama for "The Pitt"
Patrick Ball gave a standout performance for his role in "The Pitt" and was even one of the most central plot points; however, he did not receive a nomination. Ball shared most of his scenes with Noah Wylie and lent depth to Wylie's character, but Ball was also overlooked for a nomination.
Taylor Dearden for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama for "The Pitt"
Taylor Dearden was also snubbed for her role in "The Pitt" after giving a compelling and heartwarming performance in a show filled with chaos.
Tyler James Williams for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy for "Abbott Elementary"
One of the most shocking snubs of the 2025 Emmys is Tyler James Williams not receiving a nomination for his role in "Abbott Elementary." While Williams has not won an Emmy for his role in the show, he has been nominated every single season of "Abbott Elementary," and his co-stars, who typically receive nominations, did receive them in their respective categories.
Paul W. Downs for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy for "Hacks"
Creator and star of "Hacks," Paul W. Downs, did not receive a nomination for his role in the show. After receiving a nomination at the 2024 Emmys and creating the show, this was a shocking oversight for this year's nominations.
