The West Des Moines Valley boys basketball program will have to defend its third consecutive state title without its head coach. B.J. Windhorst announced this week he is stepping away from the program. Windhorst spent 11 seasons with the Tigers and led them to four Class 4A state championships, including its ongoing streak of titles in 2023, 2024 and 2025.He says he wanted to spend more time with his family.
