'They're the real heroes': Window-washing superheroes bring smiles to young patients' faces
These superheroes are saving the day on *** different kind of mission. Bringing smiles and joy to patients at Blank Children's Hospital like 9 month old Hank. His parents grateful. For the distraction, just to see him smile is pretty excellent, you know, like we had some tough days earlier, but he's starting to feel better and just seeing him that smile just makes us feel better. That's *** happy baby. These costume characters are actually window washers at Larry's cleaning service. They're here not only to clean the hospital's windows, but to see little ones light up. You got, you got me. It's not like it is every day they get *** break from. You know, the hospital, so we try to be out here, come and get their minds off things, be the heroes. They're the real heroes dealing with all the stuff they gotta deal with. Brave heroes like two year old Hazel, pop, you can pop them. I'll blow more who enjoyed popping bubbles with Mom. It's just different from the everyday life in the hospital, and we're boring. They're more exciting. Yeah, they're more exciting. In Des Moines, Simone Carver, vlog 8 News, Iowa's news leader.
