Carrie Underwood revealed earlier this week that she received between 40 and 50 stitches on her face after a “freak random accident” that also left her with a broken wrist in November. Now, a photograph of the singer taken one month after the accident is resurfacing in wake of the news. On Dec. 12, 2017, approximately one month after the injury, Carrie took this photo with "Below Deck" alum Adrienne Gang after working out together. “She is adorable and so gracious… LOVE HER!” Adrienne wrote at the time.According to Adrienne, Carrie was not wearing any makeup and “looked great” that day.In a post shared to her official fan club, Carrie wrote that the face injury, in addition to her wrist injury, is something she hasn’t “been ready to talk about since I have still been living it and there has been much uncertainty as to how things will end up” (via People). While she’s been recovering in the seven weeks after the incident, Carrie says she’s “not quite looking the same.”On Dec. 27, Carrie shared this cozy selfie on Instagram, but it’s unclear if the photo was taken before or after the injury:In her note to fans, Carrie continued, "I want you all to understand why I might look a bit different. I’m hoping that, by then, the differences are minimal, but, again, I just don’t know how it’s all going to end up."
