8:00 a.m. Update: A multi-vehicle crash in the eastbound lanes on I-35/80 at Douglas is creating a slowdown for drivers in Urbandale. First responders are on scene blocking the two northbound right lanes. This is creating a 3 minute delay for northbound travelers and a nearly ten minute delay for southbound travelers. A muti-vehicle crash happened in the same area around the same time yesterday. Commuters should expect a delay and consider an alternate route once again.
After a chaotic midweek morning commute, Thursday is starting on a much calmer note with no reports of any incidents or delays as of 7 a.m.
I-35/80 construction update
Drivers making their way through the western suburbs can now use the I-35/80 Hickman on-ramp as of 5 a.m. this morning! Construction continues in that area, and drivers should still proceed with caution.
