One dead after Coralville mobile home park shooting
Coralville Police say a man is dead following at a shooting at mobile home park, .
The department says it responded to a report of a disturbance at Western Hills Mobile Estates on Second Street at 11:54 p.m. Wednesday.
As officers arrived they learned there had been a shooting. They found a man who had been shot twice in the chest.
Officers tried to render aid to the man, but he died at the scene.
His name will not be released until after family members can be notified.
Coralville Police have not said anything about any arrests or a suspect. Investigators believe the shooting is isolated and there is no immediate threat to the public.
The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is assisting the investigation. Anyone with information about the shooting should contact Coralville Police at 319-248-1800.
