A couple announced their “next chapter” in a familiar way, but it might not be the announcement you’d expect.Vicky Piper said with both of her children attending college this fall, she had gotten several wellness checks from friends. It’s a big change, after all.So she and her husband made a photo announcement akin to graduation, wedding and pregnancy announcement photo trends.The pair posed in photos holding a bird’s nest and chalkboard that reads, “empty nest,” which she shared on Facebook last week. The post received nearly 200,000 likes and more than 45,000 shares as of Thursday.“We just had a different perspective about the whole thing,” Piper told "Today". “Both kids are doing great and they’re in college, and that’s awesome! So the bottom line is that we had a different view of that ‘empty nest.’”Piper said she felt they had “missed out” on some of the fun photo opportunities that couples do now."Why not join them?" she told "Good Morning America".
