Watch: Coyote caught sneaking into California home
A family in California is feeling pretty lucky they survived a close encounter with a coyote last week after the animal sneaked into the family's home.
The owner of the Woodland Hills home, Mia Shoshan, said that the coyote got in through the doggie door around 4 a.m. Friday morning.
A few seconds pass and suddenly, the coyote comes face to face with the house cat. The cat hides under the table and the coyote jumps back.
Shoshan said her brother heard the cat meowing and screaming. As the brother ran into the room, the coyote darted out leaving the way it came in. Through the doggie door.
No one was hurt, but it’s another reminder that coyote sightings are becoming more common in certain areas of the country.
