Des Moines police are investigating a Sunday morning shooting that sent a 16-year-old girl to the hospital. Officers responded to reports of a shooting around 8 a.m. Sunday at an apartment in the 3700 block of Hubbell Avenue on the city's east side. According to a news release, a 16-year-old girl was injured by gunfire. She was taken to a Des Moines hospital. "A potential suspect has been identified but is not in custody at this time," the news release said.
