Viral videos of escaped inmate Antoine Massey lead to raid at New Orleans home

Viral videos of escaped inmate Antoine Massey lead to raid at New Orleans home
And this all started from *** social media video that has now gone viral garnering thousands of views. WDSU's Shay O'Connor breaks down that video and how investigators are tracking it, Shay. Thank you so much Jasmine. Now we're told that when police actually arrived to that home that Jasmine just mentioned along agriculture, they did not find Massey, but what they did find was clothing that they believed that he wore while recording those videos. Tuesday, investigators confirmed that the man in this viral video is Antoine Massey, recorded while on the run. After his escape from the Orleans Justice Center nearly 3 weeks ago, it's obviously something he felt the need to do, and as *** result, I think it's just going to help, it's going to help law enforcement find him. Family tipped off law enforcement to *** New Orleans home believed to be the place this video was filmed. Massey was not caught, but investigators say they did find evidence to show he may have been there at some point. But Obviously it's helpful if they were still there, but if they're not there, then it really doesn't help us bring them to capture. They recovered clothes that appear to have been worn by Massey in this video. WDSU has reached out to all agencies, including the FBI, mentioned in the video to address the allegations Massey makes. If he's that passionate about fighting his charges, he should come in and go through the proper legal process to do that. This is Massey's mom. We cannot fight the right way, but you on the run, and family members beg Massey to turn himself in. God has heard your plea. The world has heard you. You have made your point. Now listen to mommy and do this for me if you do nothing else for me. Turn yourself in. And those 3 videos were on social media for at least 10 hours before we saw them and sent them to law enforcement officials to aid them in their investigation, and I mean some agencies actually had not seen those videos until we reached out. Meanwhile, Antoine Massey and Derrick Groves remain on the loose. If you do know anything that could aid law enforcement, you're being urged to reach out to Crime Stoppers reporting live from OJC Shay O'Connor, WBDSU News. New Will
