The dinosaur-shaped maze was a prehistoric throwback.

From the ground, it looks like any other cornfield. But from 3000 ft it's much more. It's called the Amazing maze maze, *** 127,000 square foot stegosaurus dinosaur with its head on the right and tail more than 100 yards to the left. OK, that's the spine. Let's go to the backbone. These people and *** handful of students from Lebanon Valley College toiled for weeks under the hot sun, using only hands and shovels to etch 2 miles of walkways. Trying to be real precise on where we were cutting before we cut so that we knew hopefully that we were cutting in the right path. The idea came from former Hummelstown native Don France, who now works for Disney World. He calls the project an American Gothic. We take *** tradition of old and European based and based in Greece, and we give *** little American spin to it and put it in. Cornfield and it becomes *** new form of entertainment. World renowned maze designer Adrian Fisher flew in from England to direct construction. He's done 70 others, but never in corn and never as big. The biggest maze at the moment is 66,000 square feet in Wiltshire in England. Um, I've built one for the Duke of Marlborough, 53,000 square feet. Which is nearly 100 yards long. So this is, this is big, big enough to qualify as the record in the Guinness Book of World Records. Former Gerald Hofer and his family have given up the land temporarily but had some reservations at first. I thought maybe they were *** little off upstairs, but. Now the hoppers are anxious to see if they can make it through without getting lost. For France and his father, it took 35 minutes to make their way through this maze, but then they helped build it and they had *** map. For most of us, it's going to take *** little longer, so don't forget to bring along something cold to drink. The maze will open to the public on September 11th and 12th, and money raised will go towards flood relief efforts in the Midwest. Organizers say now that they've built it, they hope you will come. In Lebanon County, Jim Sinkovitz, News 8.

Creator Don Franz called the maze "agriculture entertainment," while the owners of the land initially thought he was "off" for asking to make the maze.
