The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is predicting a 60% chance for an above-normal Atlantic Hurricane Season. NOAA is predicting between 13 and 19 named storms. Forecasters said six to 10 of them are expected to strengthen into hurricanes, and three to five could become major hurricanes.The main reasons for the above-normal outlook are the warm Atlantic Ocean temperatures and the transition from La Niña to a neutral phase. Hurricane Season officially runs from June 1 to Nov. 30.
