A good Samaritan came to the aid of a man struggling in the water at Quarry Lake Park in Wisconsin on Saturday.
The Racine Co. Sheriff’s department says that they received a call around 4:36pm that a man was screaming and couldn’t keep his head above water. The caller believed the man was stuck on something.
A good Samaritan went into the water and pulled the man out. He, along with a City of Racine officer performed CPR.
The 23-year-old victim was transported to Ascension Health Care before being taken by Froedtert.
The good Samaritan sustained minor injuries while rescuing the victim. He was snagged by a four-inch fishing lure with treble hooks that went into his arm.
