Three travel YouTubers killed after falling over waterfall

One reportedly slipped, other two tried to save her

Three travel YouTubers, who starred in videos on a YouTube page called "High on Life," died Tuesday after an accident in Shannon Falls in British Columbia, Canada. Ryker Gamble, Alexey Lyakh, and Megan Scraper are being remembered for their love of travel and adventure, which they documented online.According to the Edmonton Sun, the three of them hiked up the falls and went to swim in one of the pool systems. CTV News and BBC News also add that the three of them were walking along the edge of the pool, then slipped into fast-moving water, falling into a pool 98 feet below. The CBC reports that witnesses saw Scraper slip and fall on rocks at the top of the falls first, and Gamble and Lyakh reportedly jumped in to try to save her, but they were all swept away by the current. Lyakh and Gamble started "High on Life" with another childhood friend, and documented their world travels online. But perhaps the group was most known for an incident at Yellowstone National Park in 2016, when they violated park rules to take photos atop a dangerous hot spring. They ended up spending seven days in jail. Their last posts on Instagram showed them taking in the beauty of Canada’s wilderness and celebrating Canada Day. Scraper, who went by “Mindy the Lion” online and was dating Lyakh, spoke out about leaving her 9 to 5 job to pursue her dream to tell stories around the world. She also frequently appeared in "High on Life's" videos. High on Life SundayFundayz posted an emotional video Friday to confirm the news. They are currently raising money for a memorial fund to pay for funeral arrangements on GoFundMe. “They were three of the warmest, kindest, most driven and outgoing people you could ever meet, and the world has lost a great deal of light from the passing of our friends,” they said in a statement. “They lived every single day to its fullest, they stood for positivity, courage, living the best life you can, and they shared and taught their values to millions of people worldwide.”
