The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade kicks off on Thursday at 9 a.m. Eastern time and 8 a.m. Central time. This year marks the popular parade’s 90th anniversary, so NBC will be airing a look back at previous routes and performances before the event begins. The will include Felix the Cat -- the first giant balloon from 1927 -- and the classic Peanuts character Snoopy. Sanrio's Hello Kitty will also celebrate her tenth year in the parade.

The pre-show will begin one hour earlier, at 8 a.m. Eastern time and 7 a.m. Central.
NBC is the only network that will air the parade on television, but you’ll also be able to stream the events online via the NBC live stream . The player requires a cable log-in. Here is of providers accepted.
If you don’t have cable, you can watch the parade from the Columbus Circle location via . The route begins at West 77 St. on Manhattan’s Upper West Side and ends on 34 St. near Herald Square. Columbus Circle is located at 59 St., so viewers get a great view of the balloons and floats as they roll down the road. An added bonus: Earth Cam won’t include any commercials.

NBC and Macy’s will join forces with Verizon to stream the parade on YouTube. The 360-degree video feed will use five different cameras and will also kick off at 9 a.m. EST. Comedian Marlon Wayans and actress Olivia Culpo will host the online show.
