He was located and taken into ICE custody with the help of Iowa State Patrol officers.As a non-citizen, Roberts illegally possessed four guns, according to court documents, including a Glock Model 19 nine-millimeter pistol, which was found wrapped in a towel under the driver's seat of the the district-owned vehicle he was driving before his arrest. An "emergency trace" on the Glock pistol was conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, which "revealed that it was purchased ... DES MOINES, Iowa — Former Des Moines Public Schools superintendent Ian Roberts has been charged with being an illegal alien in possession of firearms.
