Commitment 2022: Randy Feenstra candidate profile
MELTON. THE REASON I’M RUNNING IS BECAUSE I’M SO PASSIONATE ABOUT IOWA AND MAKING SURE THAT WE HAVE A VOICE. THE REPUBLIC CAN ONE TERM CONGRESSMAN RANDY FEENSTRA IS GUNNING FOR ANOTHER TWO YEARS ON CAPITOL HILL. HIS TOP PRIORITY IN THE RACE FOR IOWA’S FOURTH DISTRICT, REINING IN RISING INFLATION. WE HAVE. $31 TRILLION ON OUR CREDIT CARD. WE’VE GOT TO RESOLVE THAT. NUMBER TWO IS WE’VE GOT TO SECURE OUR BORDER. AND THEN NUMBER THREE IS WE GOT TO HAVE A VOICE FOR OUR FARMERS AND SMALL BUSINESS. FEENSTRA SAYS HE’S A PRO-LIFE CANDIDATE AND SUPPORTS A NATIONWIDE BAN ON ABORTION AFTER 15 WEEKS. HE’S COAUTHORED A U.S. HOUSE BILL PUSHING FOR THAT CHANGE AND THERE ARE EXCEPTIONS, EXCEPTION TO THE LIFE OF THE MOTHER, AND THERE’S EXCEPTIONS FOR RAPE AND INCEST. ANYTHING THAT WE CAN DO TO REDUCE AND CREATE OPPORTUNITY FOR INNOCENT LIFE TO LIVE. I’M ALL ABOUT IT. FEENSTRA HAS ALSO RECEIVED AN A RATING FROM THE NRA. THAT’S BASED ON HIS SUPPORT FOR GUN OWNERSHIP RIGHTS. ARE THERE ANY THINGS THAT YOU COULD SEE AS COMMON SENSE GUN LAWS THAT YOU WOULD SUPPORT? I’LL JUST SAY THIS. I THINK WE FIRST HAVE TO REALLY, AGAIN, WHAT I TALKED ABOUT IS GO BACK TO THE ROOT OF THE PROBLEM. I THINK IF WE WANT TO DO ANYTHING TO REDUCE VIOLENCE, IT STARTS WITH MAKING SURE THAT WE COMBAT MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES AND FEENSTRA DOES NOT SUPPORT THE USE OF EMINENT DOMAIN FOR CONTROVERSIAL CARBON CAPTURE PIPELINE PROJECTS IN FAVOR OF A LANDOWNER WANTS A WINDMILL OR A SOLAR FARM, A PIPELINE. THAT SHOULD BE UP TO THEM. NOT THE GOVERNMENT, BUT BEYOND THE POLICY PLATFORMS. FEENSTRA SAYS HIS MOST IMPORTANT ROLE IS BEING A VOICE FOR IOWA FAMILIES, FARMERS AND SMALL BUSINESSES. I DO A 39 COUNTY TOUR TWICE A YEAR. THAT’S WHY I DO AS MANY BUSINESS STOPS AND CITY STAFF FROM WHEREVER I GO TO LISTEN AND LEARN SO I CAN TAKE WHAT’S HAPPENING IN IOWA BACK TO CONGRESS AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR FEENSTRA AS A NATIVE IOWA AND WHO GREW UP IN THE SMALL TOWN OF HALL. HE’S BEEN MARRIED FOR NEARLY 30 YEARS AND HAS FOUR KIDS BEFORE RUNNING FOR CONGRESS, FEENSTRA HAS WORKED AS THE HEAD OF A SALES AT THE HEAD OF SALES FOR A CANDY COMPANY. SERVED HIS WHOLE C
