From our archives: Iowa town baked pizza twice the size of a basketball court
There are many decisions that must be made when ordering a pizza. Do you want thin crust or deep dish? Pepperoni or pineapple? Small, medium, large ... extra extra extra large?
In 2005, Bill Bahr of Iowa Falls, an assistant manager at the town's Pizza Ranch, decided to go bigger than big and set his sights on making the biggest pizza in the world. He soon realized it would be no easy feat. He enlisted the help of his community to sling insane amounts of sauce and cheese over a gigantic area.
