SPORTS, POWERED BY CARL’S AUTO GROUP FLOOR GENERAL, SENIOR LEADER, FAN FAVE, POINT GUARD DAVID LIPSKY HAS MEANT EVERYTHING TO THE CYCLONES, AND HE’S READY TO RUN IT BACK ONE LAST TIME. JUST NEEDS TO GET THE KNEE RIGHT FIRST. vlog SHANNON EHRHARDT HAS THE LATEST FROM WEDNESDAY’S MEDIA DAY. WE SPOKE TO THE IOWA STATE MEN’S BASKETBALL TEAM FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS SEASON, AND WE DID SPEAK TO TAMIN LIPSEY, WHO HAS BEEN SITTING OUT WITH THAT MCL SPRAIN. HE HAS AT LEAST ANOTHER TWO WEEKS BEFORE HE CAN BE CLEARED, AS HIS TIMETABLE WAS 4 TO 6 WEEKS. HERE’S TAMIN ON HOW HE’S BEEN RECOVERING. BEEN AT ALL PRACTICES. IT’S BEEN A LITTLE BIT OF TIME ON THE BIKE, JUST MAKING SURE I CAN KEEP GETTING MY HEART RATE UP SO I DON’T GET OUT OF SHAPE. BUT FOR THE MOST PART, I’M OUT ON THE COURT JUST WITH ONE OF THE TEAMS. WHEN WE’RE GOING UP AND DOWN AND JUST TRYING TO HELP COACH ON THE SIDE, AND HE’S CONTINUING TO STEP FORWARD IN TERMS OF VOCAL LEADERSHIP. HE DOESN’T NEED TO BE A RAH RAH GUY, BUT HE DOES NEED TO PROVIDE RELEVANT INFORMATION. AND THOSE ARE THINGS I THINK THAT ARE EVEN BECOMING MORE CLEAR TO HIM AND HOW TO GO ABOUT DOING THAT WITH HIS TIME WHEN HE’S NOT BEEN ON THE COURT. IT’S DEFINITELY TOUGH, ESPECIALLY BECAUSE IT’S LIKE THE PRIME TIME WHERE WE START GETTING UP AND DOWN, OTZELBERGER TELLS US. THERE ARE STILL FOUR MORE WEEKS OF HARD WORK, AND THAT’S BEFORE THE NONCONFERENCE SEASON STARTS. IT IS NOVEMBER 3RD AGAINST FDU FROM HILTON COLISE
