IOWA STATE TAKES ON UNI AT JACK TRICE IN AMES SATURDAY, BUT A NEW PROJECT IN ONE OF THE LOTS THERE MEANS LESS SPACE AND BIG CHANGES. THE MIDTOWN DEVELOPMENT IS GOING UP RIGHT ACROSS FROM THE STADIUM ALONG LINCOLN WAY, RIGHT BETWEEN HILTON AND JACK TRICE. THE LOTS NORTH OF THE STADIUM HAVE BEEN MOVED FURTHER NORTH IN THE BEAMAN COURTYARD. A LOT OF PARKING HAS ALSO BEEN MOVED AROUND THE SITE TOWN DEVELOPMENT PROMISES TO BRING SHOPS AND OTHER ENTERTAINMENT IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF YEARS. IOWA STATE ATHLETICS SAYS THIS TEMPORARY HEADACHE WILL PAY OFF FOR PEOPLE BY NEXT YEAR. THE ENTIRE FOOTPRINT OF THE IOWA STATE CENTER ALL OF THOSE LOTS WILL BE DONE.
