The free stages at this year's Iowa State Fair are packed with crowd-pleasing shows.The fair opens Thursday, Aug. 7, with Taylor (Swift) Inspired Dance Party on the MidAmerican Energy Stage, country act Ty Myers at the Susan Knapp Amphitheater and the first of four free shows by The Holy Rocka Rollaz on the Anne and Bill Riley StageThroughout the fair, you'll be able to catch familiar bands like The Nadas, PetRock, The Pork Tornadoes, Herman’s Hermits, along with plenty of other new (to you) and free acts.This year's Iowa State Fair runs from Thursday, Aug. 7 through Sunday, Aug. 17.
