The 2024 Iowa State Fair was the biggest in the fair's 170-year history. So, what will the encore look like? According to fair officials, total attendance of last year's event was 1,182,682. That's 12,307 more than the previous record of 1,170,375 in 2019 and 48,724 more than 2023 (1,133,958), which is the second-biggest.Day 7: On Wednesday, 105,787 people went through the gates. That's more than 6,500 over Day 7 last year, when attendance was 99,281. Day 6: Tuesday got back into six figures, coming in at 102,080.Day 5: Monday fell below 100,000, but the 97,273 to walk the fairgrounds still topped 2024's mark by a few thousand.Day 4: The first Sunday of the fair had 113,001 in attendance.
