BECAUSE I NEEDED THAT. OKAY, BO. THANK YOU. WE CONTINUE OUR COVERAGE THIS EVENING WITH vlog. S LAURA, TERRELL AND LAURA. TODAY’S THEME GAVE IOWANS A CHANCE TO CELEBRATE OUR VETERANS. YES. SUCH A GREAT DAY HERE AT THE IOWA STATE FAIR TO CELEBRATE VETERANS, SPECIFICALLY, THE FAIR FOCUSED ON VIETNAM VETERANS. AND A LOT OF THEM WATCHED THE PARADE TODAY. vlog WAS THERE AS THE PARADE ROLLED THROUGH THE GRAND CONCOURSE HONORING VETERANS THIS MORNING. THIS YEAR’S PARADE HAD GRAND MARSHALS THAT WERE VETERANS OF THE VIETNAM WAR, MARKING 50 YEARS SINCE THAT CONFLICT ENDED. VETERANS OF THAT WAR SHARE WHAT IT MEANS TO THEM TO TAKE PART IN TODAY’S FESTIVITIES. YOU KNOW, I’M REALLY GLAD TO SEE THE COUNTRY COME TOGETHER TO HONOR THE VETERANS. IT WASN’T ALWAYS THAT WAY, AND IT SEEMS LIKE IT’S REALLY IT IS AN HONOR. THAT’S WHAT IT IS. THE HONOR OF. I SEE YOU GET A LITTLE BIT EMOTIONAL. WHY IS THAT PROGRAM VETERANS FOR VOTING? I DON’T KNOW, IT WAS A IT WAS A TOUGH TIME IN MY LIFE AT ONE TIME. BUT IT’S SOMETHING ALSO LOOK BAD. AND I’M PROUD OF. PERFORMANCES. TO RECOGNIZE THESE SPECIAL IOWANS AT THE SUSAN KNAPP AMPHITHEATER, THE IOWA MILITARY VETERANS BAND TOOK THE STAGE. AND AT THE BILL RILEY STAGE, A MILITARY TRIBUTE CONCERT IS WRAPPING UP JUST ABOUT NOW. AND THAT’S JUST A FEW OF THE EVENTS HAPPENING TODAY AT THE IOWA STATE FAIR. The Iowa State Fair celebrated the fair's Veterans Day with a parade and concerts on Monday, honoring Vietnam War veterans as grand marshals to mark 50 years since the conflict ended.Gene Davis, a Vietnam veteran from Des Moines, said, "I am really glad to see the country come together to honor the veterans.
