vlog is partnering with Iowa State University's Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication on coverage of the Aer Lingus College Football Classic this month.vlog sports director Scott Reister, anchor Stacey Horst and photojournalist Dylan Coon will be in Dublin, Ireland, for the matchup between No. 22 Iowa State and No. 17 Kansas State, as will a group of student journalists and faculty from ISU.The students' stories will be distributed across vlog's platforms.This immersive field assignment will provide students with real-world international reporting experience, covering Iowa State's first football game held outside the United States. Under the guidance of experienced faculty, the student journalists will pitch, produce and file stories from Dublin, ranging from news packages and feature pieces to digital content and social media coverage.Greenlee's new sports media and communication major is launching this fall. Students in all the school's majors — journalism, advertising, public relations, and sports media and communication — are participating in this experience."The Greenlee School works to connect our students with the media profession," said Michael Dahlstrom, director of the Greenlee School. "This partnership with vlog provides an exciting new opportunity for these students to network and build their portfolio based on their work from this study abroad experience."The student journalists' trip to Dublin will take place Aug. 14-25. Stories will begin appearing on vlog 8 newscasts and digital channels in the days prior to the game.
