YEAR. AND THE ONE THING THAT TOPS EVERY YEAR SEEMS TO BE THE HEAT. AND IT WAS BRUTAL THIS WEEKEND, BUT WE’RE LOOKING AT SOME CHANGES IN THE HEAT. YEAH, DEFINITELY. MAYBE NOT THE MOST IDEAL PLACE TO BE OUTDOORS WITHOUT SOME SORT OF POOL OR WATER SOURCE. OR MAYBE AIR CONDITIONING. BUT WE ARE LOOKING AT SOME COOLER TEMPERATURES ON THE WAY BY THE MIDDLE AND END PART OF THIS UPCOMING WEEK. TOMORROW, I THINK IS STILL GOING TO BE HOT, BUT I THINK ONCE WE GET THROUGH TOMORROW AND INTO TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY ESPECIALLY, YOU’LL START TO NOTICE SOME CHANGES IN THE HUMIDITY. HERE’S WHAT WE GOT ON SUPER DOPPLER EIGHT RIGHT NOW. MOST OF THIS ACTIVITY FESTERING HERE INTO SOUTHERN MINNESOTA. WE’VE GOT A FEW STORMS POPPING UP HERE JUST TO THE EAST OF MASON CITY, JUST NORTH OF ALGONA, BACK TOWARDS SPENCER. A FEW STORMS HERE UP TOWARDS ESTHERVILLE AND EMMETSBURG, BUT THESE ARE GOING TO CONTINUE TO SHIFT OFF TO THE NORTH AND TO THE EAST. GOOD NEWS IS NOTHING SEVERE AT THIS POINT IN TIME. TEMPERATURES, THOUGH ARE STILL WARM HERE. FOR THE 10:00 HOUR WE ARE HANGING OUT IN THE MID 80S IN DES MOINES, 81 IN INDIANOLA, AND THEN PRETTY MUCH 70. UPPER 70S ELSEWHERE. FEELING LIKE THE LOW 80S THOUGH FOR AMES AND ANKENY, AS WELL AS MARSHALLTOWN. AT THIS HOUR. IT’S DEFINITELY GOING TO BE HOT AND HUMID HERE OVERNIGHT TONIGHT INTO MUCH OF THE DAY ON MONDAY AND EVEN INTO TUESDAY. I THINK ONCE WE GET THROUGH TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY, OUR HUMIDITY STARTS TO DROP CONSIDERABLY BACK DOWN INTO THE LOW 60S. THAT’S WHEN IT’S JUST A LITTLE BIT MORE COMFORTABLE TO BE OUTSIDE WHERE YOU DON’T NOTICE THE HUMIDITY AS MUCH. WHEN YOU STEP OUT THE DOOR. SO THOSE CHANGES COME BY THE MID PART OF THE WORKWEEK. THAT’S THE GOOD NEWS. HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL STAY CLOSE TO 90, I THINK TOMORROW. AND THEN BY TUESDAY WE’RE STILL IN THE UPPER 80S. BETTER CONDITIONS THOUGH, WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY. WE’RE TALKING LOW 80S TOWARDS THE LATTER HALF OF THIS NEW WORKWEEK, AND TEMPERATURES A LITTLE BIT CLOSER TO NORMAL. HANGING OUT IN THE LOW TO MID 80S, WHICH AGAIN NORMAL HIGH FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR, 84 DEGREES. SO WE GO THROUGH THE REST OF THE NIGHT TONIGHT AND THERE STILL COULD BE SOME MORE STORMS COMING OUR WAY. LET ME SHOW YOU WHAT I MEAN. WE MAY SEE A FEW MORE STORMS FESTER INTO NORTHERN AND NORTH CENTRAL IOWA. THIS IS AROUND 2:00, 3:00 IN THE MORNING. NOTICE STORMS COMING OUT OF SOUTH DAKOTA AND NEBRASKA. THEY TRY TO FORM A LINE. WE’RE NOT SURE TOTALLY IF THIS LINE WILL ACTUALLY FORM OR NOT. THEY MIGHT BE A LOT WEAKER THAN THIS, BUT NOTICE THEY DO WEAKEN AS THEY PUSH INTO CENTRAL IOWA THROUGH EARLY TOMORROW MORNING. AND THEN BY THE AFTERNOON, MOST OF THAT RAIN IS GONE. I THINK THE BEST CHANCE FOR STORMS WILL DEFINITELY BE FOCUSED INTO NORTHWEST IOWA OVERNIGHT TONIGHT INTO EARLY TOMORROW MORNING. THERE IS A POSSIBILITY FOR A STORM OR TWO TO MAKE IT INTO CENTRAL IOWA BY THE START OF THE DAY ON MONDAY. OTHERWISE, AFTERNOON HOURS TOMORROW SHOULD BE DRY WITH A MIX OF SUN AND CLOUDS, AND THEN WE HEAD INTO THE DAY. ON TUESDAY, WE’RE BACK TO A PARTLY CLOUDY SKY, BUT OVERNIGHT TONIGHT THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR SOME OF THOSE STORMS TO BE ON THE STRONGER SIDE. WE’RE TALKING WIND AND HAIL. MAINLY OUR BIGGEST CONCERNS LATER ON THIS EVENING. TONIGHT THOUGH, IT’S GOING TO BE A WARM ONE. WE WILL DROP BACK INTO THE LOW TO MID 70S AGAIN. STILL MUGGY. WE’LL KEEP A FEW CLOUDS AROUND HERE TONIGHT. TOMORROW’S FORECAST WILL PUT US BACK TO THE LOW 90S FOR CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN IOWA. MID AND UPPER 80S POTENTIALLY INTO NORTHERN IOWA HERE AS WE GO THROUGH THE DAY TOMORROW, BUT STILL WARM AND STILL ON THE HUMID SIDE. SO WE DON’T REALLY GET THAT BREAK. I DON’T THINK UNTIL AT LEAST TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY OF THIS UPCOMING WORKWEEK HERE, LOW 80S THROUGH THURSDAY AND FRIDAY. END OF THE WEEK LOOKS GREAT, ESPECIALLY WITH THE LOWER HUMIDITY. THAT’S GOING TO FEEL AWESOME TO SPEND TIME OUTDOORS. WEEKEND IS LOOKING GOOD. IN FACT, WE’VE GOT HIGH TEMPERATURES, MAYBE EVEN IN THE 70S. BY THE TIME
