Iowa weather: Smoke clears out leaving picture perfect fall weather for the weekend
Thursday's wind will also bring back ingredients needed for storms ahead of another cold front that will pass overnight. The front should be strong enough to trigger these nighttime storms.

They will start in northwestern Iowa late evening and will move into central Iowa around 10 p.m. to midnight. They will continue to push south and east late into the night and wrap up by the time we get our Friday started.
The cold front will bring a stronger breeze for Friday from the northwest. The winds will keep us out of the 70s despite the clear skies. The weekend will remain dry as the winds calm down. Temperatures will slowly rebound with 80s moving back in by Tuesday of next week. We will continue to climb with mid and even upper 80s possible deeper into the new work week.
