Iowa weather: Skies dry out by Wednesday morning with sunshine returning, dry Halloween
The area of low pressure driving in the steady rain will move out into Wednesday, keeping showers around until Wednesday morning. As the low departs southeastward, it'll deepen some, briefly kicking up our winds Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

Weak high pressure moves in behind our current rain maker, bringing sunnier skies by Wednesday afternoon. With high pressure in place, we'll again set the stage for some cold mornings with overnight lows in the mid-30s Thursday morning through Sunday morning.
Winds kick back up by the end of the week with gusts of 20 to 25 mph Friday.
Another weak system may bring a few sprinkles back to Iowa by Saturday with otherwise cloudy skies.
Stout high pressure moves in from the Dakotas on Sunday, clearing out our skies and helping us warm into the upper 50s to low 60s, which is where we'll sit through at least the middle of next week.
