Iowa weather: Slightly cooler but still humid through the rest of the week

Iowa weather: Slightly cooler but still humid through the rest of the week
BALLOON FIELD. ALL RIGHT, SO WE HAD SAVING SOME SHEEP. WE HAD PUPPIES AND CHAMPAGNE YOGA. WE HAD HOT AIR BALLOONS. WE TEED IT UP FOR AN TO GIVE US AN AMAZING WEEKEND FORECAST. YEAH, WE NEED TO BE OUT IN THIS WEATHER. YEAH WE DO. AND WE’LL SLOWLY GET A LITTLE BIT WARMER AS WE HEAD INTO THE END OF THE WEEKEND. BUT FOR NOW, TOMORROW AND SATURDAY, JUST SLIGHTLY COOLER THAN THE 90S THAT WE SAW EARLIER ON IN THE WEEK. SO IT DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE TOMORROW. I THINK WE WILL SEE MORE CLOUDS. KIND OF LIKE WHAT WE HAD TODAY. YOU’LL NOTICE THERE’S STILL A LOT OF CLOUD COVER HANGING OUT ACROSS CENTRAL AND EASTERN PORTIONS OF THE STATE. TONIGHT, FAR SOUTHEAST IOWA IS LOOKING AT A LITTLE BIT OF RAIN THIS EVENING. AS FAR AS RAINFALL TOTALS GO SINCE MIDNIGHT, WE PICKED UP OVER HALF AN INCH HERE IN DES MOINES, BUT A LOT OF SPOTS AT OVER AN INCH, OR MAYBE EVEN CLOSE TO AN INCH AND A HALF. CARROLL OUT TOWARDS CRESTON, A CLOSE TO THAT UP IN AMES, IOWA FALLS COMING IN AT OVER AN INCH AND A HALF OF RAINFALL JUST FROM TODAY. SO NICE SOAKING FOR A LOT OF SPOTS ACROSS THE STATE LAST NIGHT INTO EARLY THIS MORNING. AS FAR AS OUR RAINFALL TOTALS GO HERE FOR JULY, WE’RE ALMOST AT NINE INCHES OF RAINFALL IN TOTAL. THAT PUTS US OVER ALMOST SIX INCHES HERE IN DES MOINES FOR OUR RAINFALL TOTAL AND STILL RUNNING ALMOST THREE INCHES ABOVE NORMAL FOR THE YEARLY COUNT FOR RAIN AS WELL. SO WE’RE DEFINITELY MAKING UP GROUND THERE WITH HARDLY ANY DROUGHT ACROSS THE STATE. ALSO A GOOD SIGN THERE. WE’VE GOT A QUIET NIGHT WITH SOME CLOUDS OUT THERE RIGHT NOW. TEMPERATURES ARE IN THE UPPER 70 FEELS LIKE 80. WE’VE GOT DEW POINTS SITTING IN THE LOW 70S, SO NOT A BAD EVENING AGAIN WITH THE CLOUDS. THE COOLER TEMPERATURES TODAY. THAT MADE FOR A GOOD DIFFERENCE HERE IN WHAT IT FEELS LIKE TO BE OUTSIDE. WE STILL HAVE THE MUGGY, KIND OF HUMID CONDITIONS STICKING AROUND AS WE GO INTO THE END OF THE WEEKEND. NEXT 12 HOURS LOOK LIKE THIS. WE’LL KEEP OUR TEMPERATURES BACK INTO THE LOW 70S THROUGH 6 A.M., AND THEN WE WARM UP INTO THE 80S OR SO. BY EARLY LUNCHTIME INTO THE EARLY AFTERNOON HOURS TOMORROW. I THINK TONIGHT, IF WE SEE ANYTHING, IT’S MAINLY GOING TO BE ACROSS SOUTHEAST IOWA. WE HEAD INTO THE DAY ON FRIDAY. WE START OFF WITH SOME CLOUDS, MAYBE A LITTLE BIT OF SUNSHINE, MIX OF SUN AND CLOUDS THROUGHOUT THE DAY. TOMORROW. BY TOMORROW EVENING WE SHOULD STAY MOSTLY DRY, BUT THERE’S A CHANCE FOR SOME SHOWERS AND STORMS TO POP UP, MAINLY ACROSS SOUTHERN IOWA. AND THEN THE POTENTIAL FOR THOSE SHOWERS AND STORMS TO MAKE THEIR WAY A LITTLE BIT CLOSER TO CENTRAL IOWA BY SATURDAY MORNING. THIS IS AROUND 8 A.M. SO ONCE AGAIN, WE MIGHT HAVE THE POTENTIAL FOR SOME RAIN KIND OF MESSING UP THE START FOR THE DOWNTOWN FARMERS MARKET. SOMETHING TO TAKE NOTE OF THOUGH. AGAIN, THIS FORECAST WILL CHANGE IN THE NEXT 24 HOURS, BUT THERE’S THAT POTENTIAL FOR A LITTLE BIT OF RAIN TO START OFF SATURDAY. THEN I THINK THE REST OF YOUR SATURDAY IS GOING TO END UP DRY AND QUIET. SO TONIGHT, UPPER 60S TO LOW 70S, TOMORROW’S FORECAST WILL PUT US INTO THE MID 80S. A MIX OF SUN AND CLOUDS HERE THROUGHOUT THE DAY ON FRIDAY, SOME OVERNIGHT RAIN POSSIBLE FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY, UPPER 80S ON SATURDAY. THEN WE’LL BE BACK INTO THE 90S SUNDAY AND MONDAY. WE’RE STILL WEATHER IMPACT FOR THE END OF THE WEEKEND. FIRST PART OF NEXT WEEK, JUST DUE TO THE FACT THAT WE COULD HAVE SOME HEAT INDICES BACK UP, NEARING TRIPLE DIGIT HEAT. SO THAT’S WHAT’S COMING OUR WAY NEXT WEEK. ONCE WE GET THROUGH THE 90S, WE ACTUALLY HAVE SOME REALLY COMFORTABLE TEMPERATURES LIKELY COMING OUR WAY BY THURSDAY AND FRIDAY OF NEXT WEEK. WE’RE LOOKING AT HIGH TEMPERATURES PROBA
