The winds Tuesday have been incredibly strong with some seeing gusts as strong as 49 mph in Spencer.

Winds will take a bit of a dip Wednesday, though we'll likely still see gusts as strong as 25 to 30 mph.
As the stout center of low pressure pushes further into the Great Lakes our winds will continue to relax into Wednesday night, and with weak high pressure nosing in we'll set the stage for our best chance for frost so far this season Thursday morning.
Overnight lows will drop to the mid-30s both Wednesday and Thursday morning. With calmer winds Thursday morning, we'll have much better potential for widespread frost.
The area of high pressure will linger keeping our skies sunny through the end of the workweek.
A stout area of low pressure will move south of Iowa through Missouri, bringing rain chances mainly right along our southern border Sunday.
Eyes then turn to a potent trough of low pressure that'll be moving in from the mountain west to start our workweek. Right now it looks to bring rain and very windy conditions. More details on any additional weather impacts will be fleshed out in the coming days as the models come into better agreement.
