Iowa weather: Flash flood warning issued in central Iowa

Iowa weather: Flash flood warning issued in central Iowa
<Announcer: "vlog 8 News at Nine starts right now"> The heavy rainfall earlier this evening caused some issues for drivers. This video was taken by one of our photojournalists in West Des Moines. You can see a truck driving through deep standing water. At one point the driver goes over the curb because the water is making it hard to tell where the road is. This is why authorities tell you to "turn around, don't drown". Police had part of Ashworth Road in West Des Moines blocked off due to deep flood water. This is near the intersection with Woodland Park Drive, facing west toward 50th Street. You can see all of the water from the rain pooled downhill. In Des Moines, the rain was a little too much for storm drains to keep up with. We pointed our downtown SkyCam to Keo Way and saw cars driving through some big puddles.
