Iowa weather: Lingering showers bring fall temperatures

Iowa weather: Lingering showers bring fall temperatures
COLLEGE THAT WILL TAKE PLACE AT 1 P.M. WELL, LAST NIGHT WE SAW RAIN MOVE THROUGH THE STATE FROM NORTH TO SOUTH. AND FINALLY, IT SEEMS LIKE TODAY THE RAIN IS FINALLY GETTING OUT OF HERE. SEE YA. THAT’S EXACTLY IT. AND THE THING IS, LIKE, IT’S GOING TO BE NICE AND SUNNY FOR A WHILE HERE. STRETCH OF DRY WEATHER. LIKE AGAIN, TRUE FALL WEATHER THAT PEOPLE CAN GET OUT AND ENJOY. SO GOOD THINGS TO COME IN WEATHER. I CAN PROMISE YOU THAT. WE’RE CLOUDY RIGHT NOW THOUGH. IN FACT, OVERCAST SKIES IS WHAT YOU’RE SUPER DOPPLER EIGHT IS PICKING UP ON. YOU GET TO THE SOUTH AND YOU CAN SEE THE WHAT’S LEFT OF THE SHOWERS THAT HAVE HAVE BEEN MOVING THROUGH LAMONI. GOT A LITTLE BIT OF LIGHT RAIN. YOU GET UP TOWARDS SUN VALLEY LAKE, MOUNT AIRY AREA AND JUST LIGHT RAIN CONTINUES TO FALL. AND EVEN THROUGH EASTERN OR SOUTHEASTERN PORTIONS OF THE STATE. BLOOMFIELD UP TOWARDS ELDON, NOT QUITE TOWARDS OTTUMWA. STILL SEEING SOME LIGHT SHOWERS AS WELL, BUT THE CLOUDS WILL EVENTUALLY EVEN BREAK. YOU LOOK OFF TO THE NORTH AND SKIES ARE CLEAR AS YOU GET UP INTO MINNESOTA, SO WE’LL EVENTUALLY BE TAPPING INTO THAT. BUT LOOKING DOWNTOWN RIGHT NOW, IT IS ALL SO OVERCAST OUT THERE. KIND OF A GLOOMY DAY, BUT STILL IT’S COMFORTABLE. SO IF YOU WANT TO HEAD OUT AND I DON’T KNOW, DO SOMETHING SHOULDN’T RUN INTO ANYTHING WEATHER WISE THAT WILL INHIBIT YOUR FUN THERE. BUT YOU CAN STILL SEE SOME WET PAVEMENT OUT THERE IN LAMONI. THEY’VE STILL GOT THAT RAIN THAT HAS BEEN FALLING. PICTURE PERFECT OUT THERE IN LAKE PANORAMA, THOUGH, EVEN WITH THE CLOUDS, THERE, THAT SUN SETTING. IT’S PUTTING UP THOSE REDS IN THE SKY LOOKING PRETTY BEAUTIFUL. SO AS WE TRACK THIS OUT FOR YOU AGAIN, WE’VE GOT THAT RAIN ACTIVITY TO THE SOUTH, BUT THAT’S GOING TO QUICKLY DEPART AND WE HEAD INTO YOUR WEDNESDAY. AND BESIDES SOME MORNING CLOUDS, WE’RE GOING TO WORK IN A WHOLE LOT OF SUNSHINE. WINDS DON’T GET GOING. TOO BAD. WE’RE TALKING MAYBE 10 TO 15MPH INTO THE DAY ON THURSDAY. PERHAPS SOME MORNING FOG. ONCE THAT BURNS OFF, WE’VE GOT MORE SUNSHINE ON TAP. SO REALLY A GOOD STRETCH OF WEATHER AS WE PUSH INTO THE END OF THE WEEK. AND IN FACT, WINDS SWITCHED OUT OF THE SOUTH BY FRIDAY. THAT’S GOING TO HELP THOSE TEMPERATURES TO BUILD BACK UP. SO TOMORROW AGAIN, TEMPERATURES PUSHING BACK INTO THE LOW TO MID 70S COULD SEE AN EARLY CHANCE FOR A SHOWER. BUT THAT EXTENDED FORECAST INTO THE END OF THE WEEK IS VERY QUIET. ANY RAIN UPWARDS INTO NORTHERN MINNESOTA AND EVEN INTO SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. SKIES STAYING RELATIVELY CLEAR OUT THERE. SO WE’VE GOT A GOOD STRETCH. AND AS FAR AS THE HUMIDITY OUTLOOK LOOKS WELL, IT’S LOOKING COMFY. WE DRAG IN SOME OF THAT DRIER AIR THANKS TO THOSE NORTH WINDS WON’T EVEN BE FEELING AS HUMID OUTSIDE AND YOUR TEMPERATURE OUTLOOK INTO THE NEXT WEEK HERE. ABOVE AVERAGE TEMPERATURES ARE LIKELY. YOU CAN SEE WE’RE KIND OF ON THE LOWER EDGE OF THAT BULL’S EYE RIGHT NOW, SO GOOD THINGS ARE COMING. IF YOU DO LIKE IT AROUND 80 DEGREES. WELL, YOUR EIGHT DAY FORECAST IS PRETTY SNUGLY CLOSE TO THAT FOR A BIT HERE. TEMPERATURES PUSH BACK TO 77 BY THURSDAY. WE’RE AT 82 ON FRIDAY. ALL THE SUNSHINE YOU CAN HANDLE WITH TEMPERATURES IN THE LOW 80S CLEAR T
