LINE. HOW COOL IS THAT? LOVE THAT FOR HIM. ZANE. YEAH, I PLAYED LOTTO AND CLEARLY DID NOT WIN. YOU HAVEN’T BEEN IN MAQUOKETA RECENTLY? NO, NO, I’M SORRY. IT’S UNFORTUNATE. ALL RIGHT. WELL, I’M NOT REALLY SURE WHAT I WAS TRYING TO THINK OF A POSITIVE THING TO SAY, BUT IT’S NICE OUT. IT’S GOING TO BE NICER IF YOU’RE TIRED OF THE HEAT. WE ARE GOING TO BE GETTING RID OF THAT HERE TOMORROW. KAYLA. IT’S FALL. FINALLY AS WE HEAD THROUGH TONIGHT. I MEAN, STEP OUTSIDE RIGHT NOW. IF YOU’VE HAD THE RAIN. IT’S A COOL, WET SORT OF FEEL OUT THERE. OUR LIVE LOOK FROM DOWNTOWN DES MOINES OVER 235. YOU CAN SEE ALL THE STREET LIGHTS GLINTING OFF OF THE WET PAVEMENT. WE’VE GOT A FEW RAINDROPS STILL BLOWING INTO OUR LENS AS WE KIND OF FACE TO THE WEST NORTHWEST. SO WE’RE GOING TO BE COOL TOMORROW MORNING. WIND CHILLS WILL BE DOWN IN THE 30S. WE’VE GOT ANOTHER CHANCE OF SHOWERS AFTER TONIGHT’S END. THEY’RE GOING TO END OVERNIGHT. YOU’LL BE SEEING CLEAR SKIES TOMORROW MORNING. THE NEXT CHANCE OF ANY KIND OF RAINFALL IS COMING UP THIS COMING MONDAY. IT’S GOING TO BE BREEZY WEATHER BASICALLY THE NEXT THREE DAYS THROUGH TOMORROW AND MONDAY AND TUESDAY. PROBABLY THE STRONGEST WINDS ARE GOING TO BE ON TUESDAY. EARLIER THIS MORNING DIDN’T HAVE MUCH WIND, BUT WE HAD SOME MOISTURE LEFT OVER FROM ALL THAT RAIN THAT CAUSED PROBLEMS WITH FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL, AND IT LEFT WITH US SOME FOG IN PARTS OF ESPECIALLY SOUTHEASTERN IOWA QUICKLY BURNED OFF HERE IN PELLA, HAD BLUE SKIES, AND THEN BY LUNCHTIME, WE ALREADY STARTING TO BRING IN THE HIGH LEVEL CLOUDS. THOSE THICKENED UP. THE SHADOWS DISAPPEARED THERE ON THE PAVEMENT, AND THEN WE EVENTUALLY GOT SOME RAINFALL THERE. AFTER SUNSET. SO SHOWER MOVED ON THROUGH. NOT MUCH GOING ON RIGHT NOW THERE IN PELLA ALONG THE CANAL, BUT WE DO HAVE ANOTHER LINE OF SHOWERS THERE, JUST OFF TO THE WEST THAT’S GOING TO MOVE INTO MARION COUNTY, ALREADY MOVING INTO JASPER COUNTY. ET CETERA. THIS IS OUR MAIN BATCH. THIS IS ACTUALLY FOLLOWING A BIGGER WEATHER SYSTEM, EXITS THE WEATHER SYSTEM WE HAD YESTERDAY. THAT’S OVER HERE THROUGH PARTS OF ILLINOIS, ACTUALLY, WITH SOME SEVERE WEATHER DOWN IN PARTS OF SOUTHERN MISSOURI. ARKANSAS, EARLIER ON TODAY, THERE’S HIGH PRESSURE OUT TO THE WEST. GIVE THAT A LITTLE BIT OF TIME TO MOVE EASTWARD. THAT WILL CLEAR OUR SKIES OUT AND TEMPORARILY DROP OUR WINDS TOMORROW NIGHT. BUT LIKE I SAID DURING THE DAY, STILL GOING TO BE PRETTY BREEZY. TONIGHT WILL STILL BE BREEZY AS WELL. SO THE NEXT FEW HOURS THOSE SHOWERS GRADUALLY DRIFT OFF INTO EASTERN IOWA. I THINK MOST OF US ARE DONE HERE IN THE NEXT 2 TO 3 HOURS. UNLESS YOU’RE OVER TOWARDS US, MAYBE SAY SIGOURNEY, OTTUMWA, DAVIS COUNTY. ET CETERA. TOMORROW MORNING, SKIES ARE CLEAR, BUT THEY’RE CHILLY. WE’VE STILL GOT A FEW 20 MILE PER HOUR GUSTS OUTSIDE, AND THAT’S GOING TO BRING US WIND CHILLS DOWN TOWARDS THE 30S ACROSS MOST OF THE STATE OF IOWA. SO QUITE THE BRISK FEEL TO THE AIR TOMORROW. AND WE’RE GOING TO KEEP THE SUNSHINE AROUND THEN ALL DAY TOMORROW. AND IT WILL BE A BREEZY, COOLER SUNSHINE. HIGHS ONLY IN THE UPPER OR LOWER 60S TOMORROW. THAT’S ACTUALLY PRETTY TYPICAL OF THIS TIME OF THE YEAR. AND THEN AS WE HEAD TOWARDS MONDAY, HERE’S OUR NEXT WEATHER SYSTEM I MENTIONED. THAT’S OUR NEXT CHANCE OF RAIN. A SCATTERED SHOWER OR TWO ALONG THIS FRONT THAT CRUISES IN HERE TOWARDS THE MID MORNING TO AFTERNOON HOURS OF OUR MONDAY, NOT WIDESPREAD RAIN DOESN’T LAST TOO LONG EITHER. IT’S A QUICK SYSTEM AND IT’S QUICKLY OUT OF HERE. AND THEN THE WINDS QUICKLY BLOW RIGHT BACK IN. WE JUMP UP TOWARDS 70 ON MONDAY AND THEN WIND GUSTS COULD GET AS HIGH AS 40MPH ON TUESDAY, AND THAT WILL BRING US SOME MUCH MORE BRISK FEELING. COOL WEATHER, A SCATTERING OF SOME CLOUDS, MAYBE A SHOWER TUESDAY AND NORTHEAST IOWA AND HIGHS ONLY IN THE 50S THERE ON TUESDAY. AND THAT’S NOT THE ONLY DAY NEXT WEEK WHERE WE’RE GOING TO HAVE HIGHS. ONLY IN THE 50S. WE’VE ADJUSTED SOME OF THESE NUMBERS DOWN HERE FOR TODAY’S FORECAST, MOSTLY 50S OR 60S. AND WE’VE ALSO GOT, ONCE WE DIE, THOSE WINDS DOWN A COUPLE OF POSSIBLY FROSTY MORNINGS IN PARTS OF IOWA, AND OUR TEMPERATURES DIP INTO T
