The upper-level weather pattern we are in favors days of rain chances like we have in the forecast. We are expecting showers and storms over at least parts of the state ever day until the back end of the weekend. However, the weather set up is not conducive for severe weather. T
here will be a chance for some strong gusty winds under showers/storms over the next couple of days along with a chance to spot some funnel clouds. With high cloud bases, any funnels that do form are expected to stay elevated. As of now, the flood threat is not expected to become a factor with the extended rain chances with recent dry conditions.
We could see some areas picking up an inch or 2 of rain through the week where multiple rounds of thunderstorms pass over. Additional rain chances possible as we officially start off the fall season.
