ATTEND. THAT SPOOKY KIND OF MOOD JUST GOING OUT IN GENERAL. SHOULD WE BE OKAY RAIN WISE? THERE’S STILL PROBABLY GOING TO BE A FEW SHOWERS LEFT IN SOME SPOTS AS WE HEAD INTO THE EVENING, BUT OVERALL, YEAH, DRIER WILL BE THE TREND AS WE GO INTO TONIGHT. WE DO STILL HAVE SOME RAIN ONGOING RIGHT NOW. WE SHOWED YOU THAT A LITTLE BIT EARLIER IN THE SHOW. LET’S CHECK DOWN IN INDIANOLA, THE SIMPSON CAMPUS. WELL YEAH. YOU CAN SEE THE RAIN IS COMING DOWN RIGHT NOW ON THE ACTUAL LENS OF THE CAMERA. THE SIDEWALKS GLINTING THERE WITH SOME OF THAT RAINFALL, SIMILAR CASES. YOU LOOK DOWN TO THE PAVEMENT GOING OFF THE INTERSTATE INTO LAMONI HERE FROM THE STREET LIGHTS THERE. AND WE’VE GOT JUST A LITTLE BIT OF COLOR LEFT OUT IN GUTHRIE COUNTY. THE LAKE PANORAMA CAMERA, YOU JUST SEE A LITTLE BIT OF THAT PINK GLOW UNDER THE CLOUDS THAT ARE STILL AROUND. NOW, TONIGHT, AS THE CLOUDS DISAPPEAR, WE WILL PROBABLY DEVELOP AT LEAST SOME AREAS OF SOME FOG HERE INTO EARLY TOMORROW MORNING. THE FAVORED AREA FOR THAT TO HAPPEN IS ACROSS EASTERN IOWA, SO NOT SO MUCH PLACES LIKE, YOU KNOW, CAROL AND GUTHRIE CENTER IN PANORA, LIKE WE JUST SHOWED YOU MORE LIKE PLACES LIKE NEWTON AND GRINNELL AND OSKALOOSA AND SIGOURNEY AND SO ON. WE’LL HAVE THE BEST CHANCE OF SEEING SOME FOGGY SPOTS INTO TOMORROW MORNING. THAT’S ONE THING FOR TONIGHT. THE OTHER THING IS THAT WE’RE PROBABLY GOING TO DROP DOWN TOWARDS FREEZING HERE IN THE DES MOINES METRO AREA FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS SEASON, AND THEN AFTER THAT, GOOD THINGS ARE ABOUT WHAT I THINK MOST FOLKS WOULD SAY ARE BETTER THINGS DRIER, MILDER. AND WE WILL ALSO GET A LITTLE BIT BREEZY HERE IN THE COMING DAYS, ESPECIALLY AS WE HEAD TOWARDS TOMORROW. THERE’S THOSE LAST FEW LINGERING SHOWERS DRIFTING THROUGH CENTRAL IOWA RIGHT NOW, A SMATTERING OF SOME CLOUD COVER LEFT OVER TWO. THIS IS ALL BEHIND. IF YOU WATCH LONG ENOUGH, YOU CAN KIND OF MAKE OUT A LITTLE BIT OF A SWIRL HERE OVER ILLINOIS, THERE’S AN UPPER LEVEL LOW PRESSURE CENTER RIGHT HERE THAT’S GOT TO SLOWLY MOVE AWAY FROM US. WE’LL REPLACE THAT WITH SOME HIGH PRESSURE HERE OVERNIGHT, SO THAT WILL CONTRIBUTE TO US DEVELOPING A LITTLE BIT OF THAT FOG. AND THEN ONCE THAT HIGH IS TO OUR EAST AROUND ITS BACKSIDE WILL DEVELOP SOME SOUTHERLY WINDS. AND THOSE WILL EVENTUALLY STRENGTHEN HERE INTO OUR SUNDAY. SO OVERNIGHT YOU SEE SKIES GRADUALLY GET CLEAR. I THINK THIS IS MAYBE A LITTLE OPTIMISTIC IN HOW FAST WE’RE GOING TO CLEAR. SO KEEP THAT IN MIND. BUT THE GENERAL TREND LESS CLOUDY. OUR TEMPERATURES STEADILY DROP THROUGH THE 30S. WE PARK THEM IN THE UPPER 20S TO LOWER 30S AS WE HEAD TOWARDS TOMORROW. A FEW PATCHES OF SOME FOG, MAYBE A LITTLE BIT MORE WIDESPREAD THAN WHAT THIS SHOWS. OVER, TOPPED BY A FEW HIGHER LEVEL CLOUDS. THEN, AS WE HEAD THROUGH THE DAY TOMORROW, MUCH SUNNIER SKIES THAN WHAT WE SAW TODAY, TEMPERATURES ALSO A LITTLE BIT BETTER AS WELL UP INTO THE MIDDLE 50S. NOT STUCK IN THE 40S WITH WET CLOUDS AND, YOU KNOW, SPRINKLES AND SHOWERS AND ALL THAT STUFF. AND THEY’LL BE A LITTLE BIT OF A BREEZE TO HELP US OUT, TO GET TO THAT A LITTLE BIT MILDER SORT OF NUMBER. WIND GUSTS, MOSTLY IN THE 25 MILE PER HOUR RANGE UP IN NORTHWEST AND NORTHERN IOWA, WE MIGHT SEE A FEW 30 MILE PER HOUR GUSTS ON YOUR SUNDAY, BUT THAT HELPS US BRING US BACK UP TO THAT MORE SEASONAL SORT OF TEMPERATURE MIDDLE 50S. TOMORROW WE’LL GET UP TO ABOUT 60. THEN ON MONDAY, AND REALLY THE FIRST FULL WEEK OF NOVEMBER HERE, IT LOOKS A LITTLE BIT WARMER THAN THAN THE LAST FEW DAYS HAVE BEEN FOR US. A LOT OF TEMPERATURES THAT WILL TOP OUT IN THE MID MID 60S. WELL, TUESDAY WILL PROBABLY BE OUR WARMEST DAY, MID 60S. AND THEN WE’LL JUST KIND OF HOVER AROUND THE UPPER 50S TO LOWER 60S HERE FOR THE REST OF THE MOST OF THE EIGHT DAY FORECAST HERE, THERE IS ONE CHANCE OF SOME RAIN. RIGHT NOW WE DO HAVE A FEW LITTLE WEAK SYSTEMS, BUT AT THIS POINT THIS FAR OUT, THEY DON’T REALLY LOOK THAT SUBSTANTIAL. SO ONE LITTLE 20% CHANCE ON THURSDAY. SO MAINL
