YOU KNOW THAT AS WELL. EXACTLY. HE’S THE BEST. YEAH. ALL RIGHT. WEATHER WISE HERE NOT GOING TO BE THE BEST. AS WE HEAD TO THE BEGINNING OF SEPTEMBER. I KNOW WE’RE GOING TO HAVE SOME SHOWERS HERE AS WE HEAD INTO YOUR LABOR DAY. SOME FOLKS ALREADY HAVE HAD THEM HERE. AS WE’VE GONE THROUGH THE FIRST PART OF THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND. IT’S GOING TO LINGER JUST A LITTLE BIT LONGER IN PARTS OF THE STATE. THAT’S GOING TO BE FOLLOWED BY A PAIR OF COLD FRONTS HERE. AS WE HEAD INTO THIS WEEK, THAT’S GOING TO BRING A FEW CHANGES, AS IT OFTEN DOES, ESPECIALLY ONCE WE HEAD INTO THE FALL MONTHS AND SOME FALL TEMPERATURES ARE GOING TO FOLLOW, ESPECIALLY THE SECOND, FIRST AND SECOND. BOTH OF THOSE FRONTS. NORMAL HIGHS THIS TIME OF YEAR, LOW 80S. WE’RE GOING TO MAYBE GET THERE ON TUESDAY. NORMAL TEMPERATURES, BUT WATCH AS WE HEAD, ESPECIALLY THURSDAY. FRIDAY WE’RE GOING TO SEE HIGHS DROP INTO THE 60S. THAT’S A LITTLE BIT MORE OF LIKE YOUR OCTOBER MODE, NOT THE BEGINNING OF SEPTEMBER. LET’S GO INTO THE BEGINNING OF SEPTEMBER TOMORROW ON YOUR LABOR DAY, MID 70S HERE IN THE DES MOINES METRO AREAS. WHAT WE’RE EXPECTING MAYBE AN ISOLATED SHOWER IN THE MORNING. OTHERWISE I THINK WE’LL JUST HAVE SOME CLOUDS AND WE’LL BE GRADUALLY GETTING RID OF THOSE MID 70S TO THE NORTH AS WELL. UP IN BOONE THEY’VE GOT THE SUPERNATIONALS THERE AT THE SPEEDWAY THIS WEEK. I THINK YOU’LL HAVE BETTER LUCK TOMORROW. THEY HAD TO CANCEL RACES EARLIER THIS EVENING BECAUSE THE STORM MOVED THROUGH. SHOWERS WILL LINGER, ESPECIALLY IN SOUTHWESTERN IOWA. WE HEAD ALONG HIGHWAY TO MOUNT AIR BEDFORD UP TOWARDS LENOX, CORNING CRESTON ALL MID 60S COOLER IN THIS PART OF THE STATE. THE RAIN, THE SHOWERS. THEY’LL PROBABLY PERSIST FOR AT LEAST THE FIRST HALF OF THE DAY, MAYBE INTO THE AFTERNOON. DRIER IN NORTHWEST IOWA. POCAHONTAS AND ROCKWELL CITY UP TOWARDS FORT DODGE AND HUMBOLDT. MAYBE A SPOTTY AFTERNOON SHOWER, OTHERWISE DECREASING CLOUDS. SAME IN NORTHEASTERN IOWA. PROBABLY THE DRIEST, SUNNIEST PART OF THE STATE. TOMORROW ALONG HIGHWAY 20 FROM WEBSTER CITY OVER TOWARDS IOWA FALLS AND ELDORA. MID 70S. SAME IN MARSHALLTOWN, HIGH OF 76. SOUTHEAST IOWA WILL VARY THE CLOSER YOU GET TO LEO CORYDON ALLERTON OVER TOWARDS LAMONI. MAYBE 60S AND SOME CLOUDS LINGERING LONGEST. PELLA. KNOXVILLE. OSKALOOSA MID 70S AND DECREASING CLOUD COVER. YOU CAN SEE THE SHOWERS RIGHT NOW. A LITTLE BIT OF LIGHT RAIN. SOUTH CENTRAL IOWA, MORE OF THE SHOWERS OFF TO THE WEST AND THEN THAT SPOTTY ACTIVITY. LITTLE RIBBON NORTHWEST TO SOUTHEAST. THAT’S GRADUALLY DYING OUT THIS EVENING AS WE HEAD THROUGH THE REST OF TONIGHT, THE SHOWERS IN WESTERN SOUTHERN IOWA. THOSE WILL PERSIST A LITTLE WHILE LONGER. THEY’LL LINGER INTO THE MORNING HOURS. HERE’S ABOUT SUNRISE. NOTICE THE RAIN CONFINED TO THAT PART OF THE STATE. AND THEN, AS WE HEAD THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY, SKIES ARE CLEARING FROM NORTHEAST TO SOUTH AND WEST. BUT THE CLOUDS ARE HOLDING FAST AND SO ARE THE SHOWERS. AND THAT SAME SPOT. AS WE HEAD INTO THE AFTERNOON. AND GRADUALLY WE WILL ERODE AWAY THE MOISTURE AND INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS AS WE HEAD TOWARDS TUESDAY, SKIES WILL BE CLEAR. THERE’S JUST A SLIM CHANCE OF RAIN IN NORTHERN IOWA AS WE HEAD INTO TUESDAY AFTERNOON. NOW THAT IS WHEN THINGS GET A LITTLE BIT MORE BUSY THROUGH THE REST OF THE WEEK. OUR FIRST COLD FRONT I MENTIONED THAT ZOOMS IN HERE WEDNESDAY MORNING INTO THE MIDDAY. SOME SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE, ALONG WITH SOME BREEZY WINDS THAT WILL BLOW IN HERE, AND THOSE WILL BRING IN SOME COOLER AIR. THOSE 60S I MENTIONED. THERE’S THURSDAY AND IN FACT THURSDAY NIGHT INTO FRIDAY MORNING. IF THE WINDS CALM DOWN ENOUGH FOR NORTHERN IOWA, MAYBE EVEN SOME 30S. WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO THURSDAY MORNING, I SHOULD SAY THURSDAY NIGHT INTO FRIDAY MORNING IS FRONT NUMBER TWO. THIS BRINGS ANOTHER SHOT OF SOME RAINFALL EARLY FRIDAY, PROBABLY DURING THE DAY. THEN FRIDAY WE SHOULD BE DRY. SO A FEW FRONTS, A FEW MORE CHANCES OF SOME RAIN AND TEMPERATURES. NOT REALLY IN SUMMER MODE ANY MORE. WARMEST DAY OF THE WEEK IS GOING TO BE TUESDAY NEAR 80, AND THEN WE’LL DROP BELOW AVERAGE INTO THOSE 60S. A FEW COOL MORNINGS THURSDAY MORNING, FRIDAY MORNING, SATURDAY MORNING TOO. AND THEN WE’LL BE
