It will be built at the corner of East 9th Street and Douglas Avenue. That's in the heart of the Highland Park Neighborhood. Des Moines City Council approved naming the park after Kathryn Krieg who worked for the city for decades. The park will feature a basketball court, playground, walking loop, and shelter. There will be a sign with a short biography of Krieg.
