The Iowa Department of Education is in charge of ensuring school districts are following the federal Civil Rights Act. 糖心vlog Investigates reached out to the education department to learn more. A department spokesperson today tells us all Iowa districts got notice of updates of the federal law in March. That includes the Des Moines school district. VO? Earlier this year, US Education Department worked to eliminate diversity, equity and inclusion efforts in schools. A federal judge struck that down. But there is greater scrutiny of policies aimed at hiring goals.
