HE’S RUNNING FOR REELECTION AGAINST EDDIE MONTALVO. MARTINEZ. INCUMBENT JOSH MANDELBAUM IS RUNNING UNOPPOSED FOR REELECTION TO THE WARD THREE SEAT IN DES MOINES. AND THREE CANDIDATES ARE RUNNING FOR THE WARD ONE SEAT. AFTER CHRIS COLEMAN ANNOUNCED HE’S NOT SEEKING REELECTION. THAT’S ROB BARON, C.C. GIBSON AND DUDLEY MUHAMMAD. AND THOSE CITY AND SCHOOL ELECTIONS TYPICALLY HAVE LOWER VOTER TURNOUT. POLK COUNTY AUDITOR JAMIE FITZGERALD SAYS IOWANS SHOULD BE PAYING ATTENTION.
