New medical device looks to combat Alzheimer's

A NeuroEM could help stop memory loss

A swim cap looking medical device could be the key to a breakthrough in the battle against Alzheimer's disease. A Phoenix-based healthcare network is beginning a two-month clinical trial for the device, known as a NeuroEM. Officials with Banner Health tell KNXV, Alzheimer's patients participating in trial will wear the NeuroEM cap for one hour at a time, twice a day. Doctors say the NeuroEM cannot reverse the effects of the disease, but they hope it will be able to stop the disease's progression.
