A Norwalk family is living in their own enchanted “Love Story,” celebrating their daughter's milestones one Taylor Swift era at a time, captivating nearly half a million TikTok viewers. They're making sure Noa Hale grows up knowing she's "The Lucky One."
Baby Noa's “Swiftie” journey began even before her first breath, with Swift’s “Enchanted” playing during her birth. Her middle name, James, is a clear nod to the Folklore track “Betty.”
Jori Hale, Noa's mother, said when she and her husband learned they were having another girl, they knew "All Too Well" that she'd be joining the Swifties.
For the first year of Noa's life, Jori is dressing her in Swift album-inspired outfits to mark each of her milestones.
"We're just going in order of the albums. I try to do like iconic outfits for the era so that people understand it," Jori said.
TikTok is "Forever and Always" charmed by the 7-month-old, with followers leaving comments like, "I'm going to do this when I have my baby girl," and "I didn't want kids before now, but now I suddenly do."
The project has also brought the Hale family closer together. Jori, along with her oldest daughter, is the "Mastermind" behind the outfits, while Jori and her friends design them.
"Most of the time I walk in and it's a spitball," Jori said. "You know, they're like, well, what if we did this for the next album?"
That's when the "Sparks Fly."
Noa's dad and three brothers have also embraced the Swift fandom, with Jori noting, "We get one ukulele, but then we end up having to order more because the other kids are going to want a ukulele if she has a ukulele."
With 11 Taylor Swift albums to choose from, the Hale family still has seven outfits to recreate, ensuring Noa will always be in "Style." They are already planning the final look, with suggestions to use the "Christmas Tree Farm" single for Noa's birthday, which is right after Christmas.
Jori shared their "Wildest Dream": "If Taylor Swift wants us to drive down to Kansas City in football season and take a picture with her, we feel like that would be the best ending to this."
For now, the Hale family continues celebrating life’s magical moments in Norwalk, one era at a time.
