Biggest snubs from the 2024 Oscars nominations
The nominations for the 2024 Academy Awards were released on Tuesday with "Oppenheimer" and "Barbie" leading the number of nominations.
While several performances were recognized, many other performances that were deemed "profound" were snubbed from nominations at the 2024 Oscars.

Margot Robbie for Best Actress in "Barbie"
Margot Robbie as Barbie was hailed as one of the best performances of the year by viewers. However, she was not nominated at the Oscars despite her counterpart, Ryan Gosling as Ken, being nominated for Best Supporting Actor.
Greta Lee for Best Actress in "Past Lives"
Greta Lee's performance in "Past Lives" was moving and was recognized at the Golden Globes earlier in the year. However, she was snubbed from the Oscars nomination list despite the film being nominated for Best Picture.
Greta Gerwig for Best Director for "Barbie"
Despite the film being nominated for Best Picture and taking seven other nominations, Greta Gerwig was not recognized for Best Director.
Bradley Cooper for Best Director for "Maestro"
Bradley Cooper was nominated for Best Actor for this film and it was nominated for Best Picture. However, he was not recognized for his directing capabilities this year.
Andrew Scott for Best Actor in "All of Us Strangers"
Andrew Scott's performance for "All of Us Strangers" was nominated at the Golden Globes, but not recognized at the Oscars. The film itself was also not nominated in any category at this year's Oscars.
Leonardo DiCaprio for Best Actor in "Killers of the Flower Moon"
Despite being nominated at the Golden Globes and his counterparts Robert De Niro and Lily Gladstone being nominated for Best Actor and Best Actress, Leonardo DiCaprio was not recognized for his work in "Killers of the Flower Moon."
