MORE FROM THE IOWA. A SATURDAY CELEBRATION FOR PATO O’WARD, WHO SKILLFULLY HELD OFF JOSEF NEWGARDEN, WHO OWNS THIS TRACK HERE AT IOWA. DOWN THE FINAL 17 LAPS TO CLAIM VICTORY HERE IN THE SINK. 275. IT’S GREAT, AND IT’S MY 100TH RACE. A COOL STORY. I ALSO WON MY 50TH RACE HERE IN IOWA. SO YEAH, I’D LOVE TO LOVE TO HAVE THAT. AND WE’VE GOT ANOTHER SHOT TOMORROW. WE’LL SEE IF WE CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN. ANOTHER WINNER ON SATURDAY. THE TRACK ITSELF. LAST YEAR THERE WERE A LOT OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT MAINLY SINGLE FILE RACING, BUT IF YOU ASKED SECOND PLACE AND THIRD PLACE FINISHERS JOSEF NEWGARDEN AND WILL POWER MUCH BETTER CONDITIONS THIS TIME AROUND, I WAS ACTUALLY WAY BETTER THAN LAST YEAR. YOU COULD GET A SECOND LANE IN. I STILL DON’T LOVE THE DOWNFORCE PACKAGE. TOTALLY. I THINK YOU NEED A LITTLE MORE DEGRADATION SO YOU CAN DO STUFF WITH SLOWER CARS. BUT WE GOT A SECOND LANE WORKING, WHICH WAS A BIG DEAL THIS YEAR. IT’S GOT A NICE GROOVE AND YOU KNOW, ONCE WE GOT INTO TRAFFIC, SORT OF JUST WORKING DIFFERENT LANES AND WORKING OUT HOW TO PASS. SO I REALLY ENJOYED IT. AND FOR AWARD AND HIS FANS FROM MEXICO, THEY’LL GET ANOTHER CRACK AT IT ON SUNDA
