And i even got to witness one of them get the birthday gift of a lifetime. There were all types of fans outside the loading dock of the Casey's Center Tuesday afternoon. Their goal? To catch a glimpse of McCartney as he pulls up to the venue. But perhaps no one wanted it more than Dan Myers, a lifelong fan from Sioux City... He, along with the dozens of other fans, waited almost three hours in the cold and rain for even a chance to see one of their idols. Recently-retired vlog photographer Cortney Kintzer — a Beatles superfan — lined up hours ahead of Paul McCartney's concert Tuesday in Des Moines just to see the icon's arrival. It was time well spent, he said.After four hours of waiting outside Casey's Center, Kintzer was able to snap several photos of McCartney arriving with a police escort for sound check around 5:20 p.m. The concert didn't start until 8.It's the 13th McCartney show for Kintzer (in eight cities) and ninth time he's lined up for the limo watch.
