MORE PROMISE FOR SUCCESS. ERIC THIS WEEKEND, RAGE BOILED : OVER. ROCKS WERE THROWN AND TEAR GAS WAS LAUNCHED ALONG WITH WORDS OF ANGER. THE CROWDS WERE BIG. BUT EVEN BIGGER? WERE THE PEACEFUL CROWDS THIS WEEKEND PUSHING FOR CHANGE , WITHOUT VIOLENCE. SUNDAY, KYREEF PREZZY SPENT FOUR HOURS WAVING SIGNS UNTIL ANKENY POLICE SHOWED UP AND TOLD HI IT JUST FEELS GOOD TO GIVE OUT LOVE AND TO RECEIVE THAT BACK. THAT’S WHAT WE HAVE TO DO MORE. ERIC WITHIN HOURS, IN DOWNTOWN? : PROTESTORS WENT SILENT, ACROSS THE INTERSECTION FROM OFFICERS IN RIOT GEAR. UNTI TWO DES MOINES OFFICERS DROPPED TO THEIR KNEES TOO WITHIN MINUTES, EVERY OFFICER, DEPUTY AND TROOPER BEHIND A MASK TOOK A KNEE. SHOWING RESPECT, DIFFUSI TENSIONS >> ARE WE GOO LET’S GO HOME. ERIC WITHIN MINUTES, IT WAS : OVER. >> THOSE PEOPLE OVER THERE ARE PART OF OUR COMMUNITY AND A LOT OF THEM ARE VERY GOOD SUPPORTERS OF OUR POLICE DEPARTMENT. WE ARE IN THIS TOGETHER. ERIC: AND THEN THERE’S FORT DODGE, WHERE AT LEAST A HUNDRED RALLIED DOWNTOWN SHARING THEIR FRUSTRATIONS AND PUSHING FOR CHANGE BUT THEN ENDING THE EVENING WITH THI PROTESTORS AND POLICE PRAYING TOGETHER. TOUGH CONVERSATIONS NEED TO HAPPEN. A LOT OF IT WON’T BE PRETT BUT THIS WEEKEND SHOWED TH POWER OF MUT
