Police: Woman posted sex ad for husband's alleged mistress on Craigslist
A Houston woman faces a charge of felony online impersonation after police claim she posted a Craigslist ad requesting sex from married men, pretending to be her husband's alleged mistress.
Tamantha Johnson, 47, allegedly created the Craigslist ad on July 14, according to the Houston Police Department's arrest record.
The victim allegedly received "about 100 inquiries to her personal cell phone about a Craigslist ad requesting sex from married men that she did not post," the court documents state. "Complainant received several unwanted naked pictures from unknown men due to this ad."
Johnson also allegedly wrote about the affair her husband, who is the victim's divorce attorney, was having with his mistress on "cheater sites," the court documents stated.
HPD was able to track Johnson down using an IP address registered to Baylor College of Medicine, where she worked for several years, court documents state.
"The ad and websites that were posted strained the complainant's business as an instructor and caused her to lose business and customers," court documents state. "The complainant indicated that she was fearful of the defendant and what she would do next. Affiant believes the ad was created to intimidate the complainant because the defendant has made several attempts to confront the complainant about the affair with her husband."
This is not Johnson's first run-in with the law. She was charged in early August with misdemeanor harassment after sending a series of text messages and photos to a woman with whom she believed her husband was having an affair.
Johnson was told by police to not contact the woman.
"Because you are unable to control your behavior, you have made it necessary for me to help you control your unacceptable behavior," Johnson allegedly texted to the woman, according to court documents. "You are a very evil person. And you will suffer the consequences of this behavior."
