A Democratic candidate for Iowa's 4th Congressional District has announced he is suspending his campaign.Candidate Ryan Melton made the announcement on social media on Tuesday, saying that he was notified he is losing his job and needs to focus on finding a new one to support his family. He also mentioned a health concern.Melton says he will continue to fight for Iowans in other ways.Melton first ran for the congressional seat, which covers most of western and northwestern Iowa, in 2022, when he stepped in to challenge Republican Randy Feenstra.
