I remember staring at the tv that day in utter disbelief. I couldn't believe what I was seeing and had no understanding of what was happening and wondered if the planes would then traveled to the midwest and if we would be next, if they would hit 801 grand. And I just thought I had to get into work right away and went in and kevin Cooney and I anchored the news for hours and hours all afternoon, all evening telling the stories of Iowans who were impacted Iowans who lost loved ones in those buildings. Um, Iowans who were trying to travel, um, even though this happened in new york and D. C. And pennsylvania, Iowans were affected in every corner of their homes, uh, here in this state as well. And I just kept thinking that I thought our world would never be the same. But thankfully, um, this never did happen again, although the fear stayed with me for a long, long time.
